An assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Vuk’uphile Contractor Learnership Programme (Vuk’uphile) in supporting emergency contractors, with a focus on the mentorship component of the programme, and recommendations for more effective funding and efficient implementation. The study revealed that the Vuk’uphile programme has achieved significant results, but recommendations focused on the need to improve the design concept of the programme in order to ensure that enterprises are sustained beyond the learnership, without which the efficiency and overall effectiveness of the programme could be undermined...
