In this study, technical support was provided to determine the status
quo of the EPWP Training Plan, and of NSF funding in the provinces,
through assessment of the status of implementation in the 7 provinces
and identification of areas where support is needed. Challenges
emerged in gathering data in KwaZulu-Natal and Northern Cape, where
interviews could not be conducted, as well as to determine how far
funding applications had been advanced in other provinces. The study
indicated the necessity for strategic support to provinces to assist
them in developing funding plans, and had the positive effect of
engaging provinces around the EPWP and the need to submit funding
applications on time...
